On this page, you will find the tracks recommended for kids ages 6 to 10. These kids are inquisitive and love to explore and solve new problems, so we recommend starting with block-based programming.
First, let’s understand what is it?
Block-Based Programming
Block-based programming is a fun and visual way for kids to learn coding. Using drag-and-drop blocks, platforms like Scratch , Blockly , and Code.org help children grasp essential coding concepts without needing to type code.
It feels like solving a puzzle, making learning enjoyable and engaging. Behind the scenes, these blocks represent real programming concepts, helping kids build a strong foundation for the future.
The example below shows simple blocks in Scratch translating to a fun game developed by one of our students:

Some tools show you the code that is generated ‘under the hood’ so that the kids get an idea of text-based coding languages as well. Some tools generate the code in Python while others generate code in JavaScript.

Recommended Tracks
For kids aged 6-10, the tutor will first assess their current skills to find the best starting point. Every child will reach the same goal, but some may take a little longer while others progress more quickly, especially if they have done Scratch programming before.
